OOTD • Spring Florals

Hi everyone!

Regular readers of my blog will surely remember my latest Store Spotlight post, where I introduced you to an amazing online clothing store where everything is sold for just £5.00 - Just For 5 Pounds [read the post here]. I was lucky enough to receive a pretty floral dress from the lovely people at this store, and I couldn't not wear it immediately once I got it, even though the weather was quite cold on the day.

Perfect for the coming Spring/Summer season, this red dress has a floral pattern all over it, making it super fun and girly. To continue with the 'girly' theme of the dress, I accessorised with a dainty collar necklace and a stone ring. Partly due to the not-so-warm weather and partly due to wanting to toughen up this outfit, I layered the dress with my all-time-favourite leather jacket which I literally wear all the time, and finished off the look with a pair of black cut-out boots.

Dress: Just For £5 // Leather Jacket: ZARA // Cut-out Boots: MRP
Collar Necklace: Dollface London // Stone Ring: Dollface London

What do you think of this outfit? How would you style this floral dress?

Inspiration Friday #3

When taking a close look at my Tumblr and Pinterest accounts, I seem to have been inspired by all black/grey everything this month...AGAIN! From leather jackets and hats to ankle boots and bags, I can't get enough of black! At least, I have managed to add a "colourful" Motel dress to my wardrobe - check out my Facebook post for more details and a cheeky discount.

What has inspired you - fashion-wise - this past month?

Introducing • Grabble

Hi everyone!

As if I don't already have enough bookmarked websites on my browser's bookmarks bar, I have just added another one this morning. I'm not complaining though. Speaking of my bookmarks bar, I have a 'To Buy' folder where I put links to my most loved items on the internet in order to be easier for me to find them when I'm in the mood for, or can afford to do, some online shopping. However, with the help of the recently launched Grabble, I can now store all of my favourite fashion pieces, wishlists, payday treats, and more, in one place by simply clicking a button. Unlike my folder on the bookmarks bar, I now also have the added benefit of receiving an alert when one of the items in my collections goes on sale. How cool is that?

The first collection I created on my Grabble account was a Valentine's Day outfit I would wear if my boyfriend took me on a romantic dinner date overlooking the Eiffel Tower. A girl can dream, right? :) For such a special occasion, I would wear a black circle skirt teamed with a black and white striped top, and layered with a black leather jacket. For accessories, I would certainly wear a statement necklace, diamond earrings, a pair of leather gloves, and a clear clutch bag. To give the outfit a pop of colour, I would wear a pair of red heels and finish off the look with red lipstick. All the items I chose are from ASOS, and you can be redirected to each piece by clicking on the image above.

What would be your perfect Valentine's Day outfit?

How I Style • Motel Louise Sheer Midi Dress

Hi everyone!

In keeping with the Motel Rocks theme of my last How I Style post, I have created yet another Polyvore set of how I would style their Louise Sheer Midi Dress for a night time look.

What distinguishes this little black dress from others is its sheer textured skirt. I really love its sophisticated but somewhat edgy touch. The skirt reveals a knicker style hot pants lining, so it might not be a favourite with everyone, but this can be easily 'fixed' if worn with a pair of black tights underneath (don't wear sandals if you're wearing black tights!). To create a night time look, I opted to pair the dress with a black leather jacket, which in my opinion, gives the outfit that extra oomph factor. With regards to the shoes, I chose a gorgeous black and gold Zara sandals for an instant elegant feel to the outfit. For accessorise, I chose the to-die-for Givenchy Antigona clutch and a gold three row chunky chain necklace to go with the gold detail found on the heels.

What do you think of this outfit? Is it something you would wear for a night out? How would you style the dress?

A/W '12 Must Haves

Hi everyone!

With more than half of Autumn almost over, I decided to dedicate today's post to Autumn/Winter must have pieces.

Military Jacket/Parka
With the military trend so in, a camouflage military jacket or an army green parka are a must have item in my A/W wardrobe. I love the fact that these jackets can have a manly or feminine feel to them according to certain small details. I personally like men-inspired vintage camouflage military jackets. However, if you prefer more feminine clothes, a peplum military jacket or a parka with leather sleeves will do the trick for you.

Chunky Necklaces
The chunky necklace trend has been spotted everywhere - on the runways, on TV shows... - and I am in love with it, simply because it can make an outfit stand out due to its statement nature. It can be worn with a buttoned shirt, with a plain t-shirt, and even with a going out dress to transform an otherwise boring outfit. The only thing that one has to keep in mind is to keep the rest of the outfit simple, and let the necklace do the talking.

Hats/Beanies
Hats and beanies are a great way to dress down an outfit in my opinion, and they can cover up our bad hair days. Super! They tend to be quite masculine, though, so one has to make sure that the rest of the outfit is not so manly.

Leather Jacket
Leather is another prominent trend this season, but my must have piece is definitely a leather jacket. What's there not to love about a leather jacket? Even if a black leather jacket is quite boring for your tastes, there are always other styles, such as studded leather jackets, fringed leather jackets, or even peplum leather jackets.

Tartan Scarves
A scarf is a must have piece in these cold months of the year. So why not do it the fashionable way? Tartan scarves complete and brighten up a simple outfit. Everyone seems to be wearing them, so I guess it is a loved trend. I know I love tartan prints!

Chelsea Boots
Chelsea boots. Who doesn't love chelsea boots? What is mostly exciting is that designers have designed these shoes in a wide array of styles - from heeled chelsea boots, to wellies, to leather chelsea boots - so rest assured that everyone will find a favourite style. Bang on trend while keeping your feet warm - sold

Oxblood Pants
Oxblood has been the hottest colour of this season, and it looks great on all skin tones. I prefer to wear trousers in autumn and winter rather than skirts, so an oxblood pants is a must have item. Oxblood pants can be dressed up or down to suit different occasions. However, if you want to be super stylish, choose a leather oxblood pants.

Which are your A/W must have items?
