OOTD • Spring Florals

Hi everyone!

Regular readers of my blog will surely remember my latest Store Spotlight post, where I introduced you to an amazing online clothing store where everything is sold for just £5.00 - Just For 5 Pounds [read the post here]. I was lucky enough to receive a pretty floral dress from the lovely people at this store, and I couldn't not wear it immediately once I got it, even though the weather was quite cold on the day.

Perfect for the coming Spring/Summer season, this red dress has a floral pattern all over it, making it super fun and girly. To continue with the 'girly' theme of the dress, I accessorised with a dainty collar necklace and a stone ring. Partly due to the not-so-warm weather and partly due to wanting to toughen up this outfit, I layered the dress with my all-time-favourite leather jacket which I literally wear all the time, and finished off the look with a pair of black cut-out boots.

Dress: Just For £5 // Leather Jacket: ZARA // Cut-out Boots: MRP
Collar Necklace: Dollface London // Stone Ring: Dollface London

What do you think of this outfit? How would you style this floral dress?

How I Style • Motel Louise Sheer Midi Dress

Hi everyone!

In keeping with the Motel Rocks theme of my last How I Style post, I have created yet another Polyvore set of how I would style their Louise Sheer Midi Dress for a night time look.

What distinguishes this little black dress from others is its sheer textured skirt. I really love its sophisticated but somewhat edgy touch. The skirt reveals a knicker style hot pants lining, so it might not be a favourite with everyone, but this can be easily 'fixed' if worn with a pair of black tights underneath (don't wear sandals if you're wearing black tights!). To create a night time look, I opted to pair the dress with a black leather jacket, which in my opinion, gives the outfit that extra oomph factor. With regards to the shoes, I chose a gorgeous black and gold Zara sandals for an instant elegant feel to the outfit. For accessorise, I chose the to-die-for Givenchy Antigona clutch and a gold three row chunky chain necklace to go with the gold detail found on the heels.

What do you think of this outfit? Is it something you would wear for a night out? How would you style the dress?

And for this week only, you can get a whopping 25% off your Motel Rocks orders by using the code annalisegrech at checkout.

Designer vs Deal #4

Hi everyone!

In this Designer vs Deal post, I decided to include those items that are currently quite popular in the blogosphere, just like I did in the last post. Nearly all of these items are exact dupes of the designer pieces. The only item that is not identical to the designer one is the Robyn Black Jumper from Glamorous. The pattern is more or less similar to the Stella McCartney Erica Embroidered Dress though.

Are any of these designer pieces on your wishlist? And will you be purchasing them now that you know of an affordable dupe? Or would you rather purchase the designer pieces anyway?

If there is a designer piece that you love so much but cannot afford it and want a dupe of it, get in touch with me through Facebook orTwitter, or else by email, and I'll include the affordable dupe in my next Designer vs Deal post!

Designer vs Deal #3

Hi everyone!

I had massive positive feedback on my previous Designer vs Deal posts (#1) and (#2), so I decided that I would blog more often on my deal finds. The items in this post are those pieces that are very popular in the blogosphere right now. Even though everybody loves designer pieces, their price can be quite a big shock to our credit cards. While browsing fashion websites for shopping, I came across these deal products which made me look twice at them. Firstly, because they are nearly identical to the designer pieces, and secondly, due to the fact that their price is not designer at all. So what's there not to like about them?

What do you think about these pieces? Would you purchase a dupe of a designer item to spend less? Or would you rather spend more on the real designer piece?

If there is a designer piece that you love so much but cannot afford it and want a dupe of it, get in touch with me through Facebook or Twitter, or else by email, and I'll include the affordable dupe in my next Designer vs Deal post!
