Designer vs Deal #7

Hi everyone!

I get so excited whenever I come across a designer dupe while wasting my very previous time on the Internet. I immediately save the item until I compile enough of these for my next Designer vs Deal post so I can share these amazing finds with you lovely lot. Once again, the dupes I found this month are super similar to the designer pieces. And I must admit, I wouldn't mind owning everything I found (designer or not)!

How similar are the Ciccio Francis sunglasses and the ones by Romwe? The only drastic difference between the two is their price tag, since the Ciccio Francis pair costing about seven times as much as the Romwe pair. Amazing! Whether you prefer the designer one or it's dupe, these sunglasses are a must-have statement piece for the summer season.

My most exciting find has to be these Gold Leaf sandals from Choies, which are the exact dupe of Giuseppe Zanotti's Firewings sandals (The white version of these sandals - Kanye West for Giuseppe Zanotti - have also been spotted on Kim Kardashian). Even though the Choies dupe may still be somewhat expensive for some, I was amazed at how similar they were to Zanotti's sandals. In this case, I would definitely opt for the dupe rather than the designer piece!

Retailing at a mere £10.00, how affordable is Fashion Union's white lace up shoes when compared to the white Dr Martens? With regards to the NastyGal shades, I think that they are ridiculously overpriced, even though they are beautifully made. Personally, I would never pay that much money on a pair of sunglasses. For those of you who love this pair but think that the NastyGal pair is too expensive for their budget, I thankfully found an amazing dupe from Ebay, and it only costs £8.52/$12.99/€9.93.

Which would you rather buy, the designer piece or it's affordable dupe? If there is a designer piece that you love so much but cannot afford it and want a dupe of it, get in touch with me through Facebook or Twitter, or else send me an email, and I'll include the affordable dupe in my next Designer vs Deal post!

Designer vs Deal #5 • Shoes Edition

Hi everyone!

We are all aware of the fact that high street brands are all the more producing affordable dupes of otherwise quite expensive designer pieces that are not so friendly to everyone's budget - be it shoes, clothes, jewellery and even accessories. I decided to dedicate this post specifically to shoes, as you all know that shoes are very close to my heart. Yes, I am still a shoe addict.

While browsing the Internet, I stumbled upon a number of shoes that are, in one way or another, very similar to the designer piece. The aim of this post is not to tell you to avoid buying a designer piece and instead opt for it's affordable dupe, but merely to make you aware that designer dupes are nearly everywhere these days, and this is surely good news to those who cannot afford the oh-so-expensive designer items.

What do you think of these shoes? There are surely some pretty awesome dupes out there right? Are any of these designer shoes on your wishlist? I am currently lusting over the gorgeous Miista Zoe oxfords. Their hologram look makes them perfect for the Spring season. Will you be purchasing the designer's affordable dupe now that you know they exist? Or would you rather purchase the designer pieces anyway?

If there is a designer piece that you love so much but cannot afford it and want a dupe of it, get in touch with me through Facebook or Twitter, or else send me an email, and I'll include the affordable dupe in my next Designer vs Deal post!

January Wishlist

Hi everyone!

January is almost over. How did it go by so fast? I didn't even find time to post my January wishlist before today. So, without further ramblings, these are the items that I'm currently wishing to own this month.

1) Rope and Metal Statement Necklace
I have so many gold collar necklaces, but this statement necklace from River Island is hard to resist. I'm especially in love with the combination of the black rope and the gold metal piece, as it can be worn with both casual and going-out outfits.

2) Boy London Jumper
I also recently became quite obsessed with Boy London clothing. I loved these jumpers I stumbled upon on eBay from the minute I saw them, but I cannot yet decide on which colour I want. Maybe I should get them both?

3) Bunny Ring Holder
Isn't this bunny ring holder the cutest? I already have a cat ring holder in my room, but it's quite old and I think it's now time for it to give space for a new one. So this is definitely going to be my next purchase.

4) Lets Make Out Statement Ring
Jewellery from I Love Crafty are always showing up in my monthly wishlists. This month, I've been eyeing this red and gold Lets Make Out statement ring. So unique and perfect for Valentine's Day and every other day of the year.

5) Nike Blazer Trainer
Last but definitely not least, I seriously want/need a Nike Blazer Trainer. The only problem is that I also cannot decide on which colour I like the most - Teal, Burgundy or Blue. Why are there so many pretty shoes out there?

What is on your January wishlist? Is anything from my wishlist on yours too?

Designer vs Deal #3

Hi everyone!

I had massive positive feedback on my previous Designer vs Deal posts (#1) and (#2), so I decided that I would blog more often on my deal finds. The items in this post are those pieces that are very popular in the blogosphere right now. Even though everybody loves designer pieces, their price can be quite a big shock to our credit cards. While browsing fashion websites for shopping, I came across these deal products which made me look twice at them. Firstly, because they are nearly identical to the designer pieces, and secondly, due to the fact that their price is not designer at all. So what's there not to like about them?

What do you think about these pieces? Would you purchase a dupe of a designer item to spend less? Or would you rather spend more on the real designer piece?

If there is a designer piece that you love so much but cannot afford it and want a dupe of it, get in touch with me through Facebook or Twitter, or else by email, and I'll include the affordable dupe in my next Designer vs Deal post!

Designer vs Deal #1

We all love designer pieces, even though our wallets don't. Today I decided to write a post on designer versus deal finds. The items that I found look more or less identical, but which would you rather wear or buy, the designer or the deal?

Mailbox #1

Hi everyone!

I have been looking for the perfect knuckle ring for ages, as I am quite a choosy person. About 2 weeks ago, I was looking through the Dixi website for the millionth time, since I totally love their stuff, and there it was...the perfect Dejana Twisted Above the Knuckle Ring. There were 3 choices of rings - a silver twisted one, a gold twisted one, and a plain band ring. I decided that I wanted the silver twisted one, as I loved it's texture, and I am currently trying to increase my silver jewellery pieces since all I see in my jewellery box is gold, gold, and even more gold items. I quickly scrolled down the page to add this ring to my cart, and was even more happier to find out that this came in a pack of 2 rings. However, when I came to choose the style, there was only the gold ring available, and my happiness decreased drastically.

Fortunately, around 2 days after this, Dixi posted their Ebay link on their Twitter page, and I decided to check it out. There were some gorgeous Dixi jewellery, a few clothing and footwear items, and my most sought-after twisted knuckle ring....and they had it in silver!!!! I immediately bought it, and after around a week of anxiously waiting for the postman to deliver this package, I received it today! My first impression when I opened the package was a 'wow', since the rings looked even prettier in real life. Even though they looked quite small for my fingers, they fit me well. I am so happy with this purchase, and I can't wait to wear these with even more rings.

10 for £10...or less

Hi everyone!

I love budget buys, so I was thinking, why don't I write a blog post and challenge myself to find 10 fashion and beauty items that cost £10 or less each? And that's what I did. I made sure that I got these items from online stores that ship worldwide, so that everything is accessible to anyone of you :) Each item is linked below so that if you like anything, you can easily be directed to its website. These are my favourite finds....
