January Wishlist

Hi everyone!

January is almost over. How did it go by so fast? I didn't even find time to post my January wishlist before today. So, without further ramblings, these are the items that I'm currently wishing to own this month.

1) Rope and Metal Statement Necklace
I have so many gold collar necklaces, but this statement necklace from River Island is hard to resist. I'm especially in love with the combination of the black rope and the gold metal piece, as it can be worn with both casual and going-out outfits.

2) Boy London Jumper
I also recently became quite obsessed with Boy London clothing. I loved these jumpers I stumbled upon on eBay from the minute I saw them, but I cannot yet decide on which colour I want. Maybe I should get them both?

3) Bunny Ring Holder
Isn't this bunny ring holder the cutest? I already have a cat ring holder in my room, but it's quite old and I think it's now time for it to give space for a new one. So this is definitely going to be my next purchase.

4) Lets Make Out Statement Ring
Jewellery from I Love Crafty are always showing up in my monthly wishlists. This month, I've been eyeing this red and gold Lets Make Out statement ring. So unique and perfect for Valentine's Day and every other day of the year.

5) Nike Blazer Trainer
Last but definitely not least, I seriously want/need a Nike Blazer Trainer. The only problem is that I also cannot decide on which colour I like the most - Teal, Burgundy or Blue. Why are there so many pretty shoes out there?

What is on your January wishlist? Is anything from my wishlist on yours too?

Preview of Dixi's New Collection

Hi everyone!

Tomorrow, Sunday the 27th of January, is a big day - a new collection will be arriving at Dixi. How great is that? I'm always so excited about their collections as they stock so many unique pieces, both vintage and modern. The below photos are an exclusive preview of this new collection. Most of the jewellery pieces that will be available as from tomorrow on their website are one off items. This ensures that Dixi's customers look unique in a crowd! And who doesn't love to stand out in the crowd? As always there will also be a selection of clothing and accessories to pull the looks together.

I LOVE EVERYTHING! But I have to be realistic as money does not grow on my back garden trees. I'm therefore hoping to get the silver cross bracelet, the white stone ring, and the burgundy stone ring. They're so pretty, right? So make sure you check out Dixi's website at around 10am (UK time) tomorrow. Don't worry if you'll still be half asleep, as your eyes will surely pop out once you see what items they have in store for you :)

This code is valid for only 7 days (from 27th January till 3rd February).

How I Style • RedRock Pieces

Hi everyone!

Do you remember the fashion brand RedRock which I had collaborated with for a giveaway some months ago? Of course you do. For my new followers (and for those of you who can't remember), RedRock is a label created by fashion designer and stylist Kiran Lall for girls who like to have fun with fashion, while also standing out from the crowd by wearing something that can't be found on the High Street. Their items, which include vintage, modern and re-worked clothing and accessories, are all hand made in their Northampton studios, and so, every piece is unique in each and every way.

I have put together three outfits to show you how I would style some of their amazing pieces. The three items that I chose were the Military Shirt Dress, the Tribal Bitch Denim Jacket, and the Rosie Tee-Red

First off is the khaki Military Shirt Dress. I decided to team it with a simple black denim jeans and black boots. With regards to accessories, I chose a black bowler hat - I simply can't get enough of them - a chunky silver necklace to emphasise the floral detail on the shirt's collar, and a studded bag. With this look, I would paint my nails in black to continue with the military/grungy look, and then add a touch of colour by using a pale pink lipstick.

Next I chose this oversized vintage Tribal Bitch Denim Jacket. I simply fell in love with it's tribal design. As shown above, I would wear it with a simple black denim jeans, a plain white crop top, and a chunky mustard snood which goes really well with the colours found on the denim jacket. A pair of black brogues and a tan satchel will finish off this outfit perfectly.

As you probably already know, I don't like clothes which are too girly. And so, floral pieces aren't quite my cup of tea. However, I liked this red Rosie Tee mainly because it's oversize, and because the floral pattern is incorporated with a not-so-girly inverted triangle. If I owned this tee, I would surely wear it with a distressed vintage denim shorts. For this look, I chose these ChloĆ©-inspired studded boots, and a classic black Cambridge satchel. Depending on the weather, I would then either wear a pair of sunglasses, or else a pair of black knee high socks. Or both.

What do you think of these outfits? Do you like the pieces I chose from RedRock?

I will soon have a 10% discount code especially for you, so keep your eyes on this post to make sure you don't miss it!

HUGE Boux Avenue Haul

Hi everyone!

I won a Boux Avenue gift card a while back and received my order today. I had to share with you all the items I got as everything is oh so pretty! I'm not writing this post to brag about my winning, but simply to show you some of the amazing items that one can find at Boux Avenue. For those of you who are still wondering, Boux Avenue is a new high street lingerie brand that can be found online and also in stores around the UK, Europe, North Africa and Asia. I had never purchased anything from this brand before, so I was super excited to see what they had to offer.

Every item came wrapped in a pink lace-printed tissue, and white rose petals were scattered all around the items in the distinctive Boux Avenue gift box. Instant love

Now, onto the items I got...

The Body Butter smells really nice, and the consistency is really thick - something which I really like. The Body Scrub, on the other hand, has a bit of an unpleasant smell in my opinion, but then again, having a nice smell is not it's main purpose. I simply can't wait to try these out!

These type of socks are a must-have item during the winter season. They are really soft, and I love their pink and cream colour - yes, I tend to resort to girly colours when it comes to nightwear and underwear. These will definitely keep my feet warm!

The smell of this Lip Balm is really nice as well. You can't go wrong with rose petal smell can you? The item description states that this lip balm is infused with shea butter, beeswax, jojoba oil, babassu oil and vitamin E. That should keep my lips soft and moisturised no matter what.

Being the cat obsessed person that I am, I knew I had to get these cat bed slippers from the minute I saw them. So pretty and really soft. They're just perfect!

Keeping with the cat theme, I just couldn't skip on getting this cute mini hand warmer. It's self-heating and reusable, so it should really help to warm my freezing hands in winter. Definitely excited to try this out!

Brooke Boy Shortie // Brooke Anchor Boy Shorts // Lucky Horseshoe Shortie // Brooke Boy Short Pretty Bow

I loved the patterns on these girly boxer shorts, so I added them to my cart too. Boux Avenue currently have a 3 for 2 offer on knickers, and therefore I got an extra one of these for free!

This is the cosiest robe ever as it's made from velvety soft fabric! I'm so glad I got it. I love it's embossed heart pattern, plus it also has a huge cosy hood. If I could, I would wear it everywhere I go :)

This candle has a really nice and refreshing smell, with notes of rose, amber and peony. It's reasonably sized, so it will surely not burn in a single use.

This set consists of 6 small ceramic hearts that can be hung in wardrobes, put in drawers, or else just used for decoration purposes. Their scent is also very refreshing. A fragrance spray is also included in this set, so one can boost the fragrance at any desired time.

I'm a sucker for Christmas and candles, so the two of them combined really make me a happy gal. This candle is my favourite item from this haul. It has the most amazing smell ever, and the candle holder has a cute snowflake design on it which gives it a more Christmas feel. I'm in love with it. This will definitely be something that I will repurchase over and over again!

I liked the idea of the scented ceramic set so much that when I saw the Christmas version of it, I had to get it too. Thankfully, this smells just like the other Christmas candle I got, with notes of ginger, fresh spices, sweet patchouli and sensual amber. It is too early to start looking forward to Christmas so that I can use these?

From the Christmas section, I also picked up this Reindeer Candle Holder. I think it would look great lit up during the Christmas season and would surely give a warm and cosy feel to my room.

As you may have already realised, I'm in love with everything I got. I also wanted to let you know that if your country is not listed on the Boux Avenue website, get in touch with their customer service team and ask whether it would be possible for them to ship to your address. That's what I did. What do you think of these items? Have you ever bought anything from Boux Avenue?

Crazy Beautiful

Hi everyone!

Beginning Boutique, the online Australian brand which I wrote about some months ago, recently launched a new lookbook called Crazy Beautiful. This lookbook, featuring photographer Nat Lanyon, is all about innocence and youthfulness with a playful, fun tone. The styling bounces between casual and relaxed looks, ideal for hot summer afternoons, versus sexy glamour, for when the volume needs to be turned up at night.

I love these photos, and the collection that features in this lookbook is just so Summery. I especially fell in love with the black denim shorts and the cat top, obviously. Thank you Beginning Boutique for making me miss Summer even more!

These are my favourite photos from the lookbook, but you can see all the images on their blog.

What do you think of this lookbook and the collection that features in it?

I wear glasses!

Hi everyone!

Nearly none of you know that I sometimes wear prescription glasses, especially when I watch TV or while I'm at a concert, but yes, I do. It all started during my Junior College years. I used to sit at the back of each class with the cool kids. After a while, the words on the whiteboard started to look very faint. I always thought that maybe the markers that the teachers were using were not new. I was the only one who was not able to read the whiteboard though, as my friends saw everything perfectly fine. After a few months of struggles to be able to read the whiteboard, I finally decided to take an eye test, which resulted positively - that is, me needing prescription glasses. This was around 6 years ago. I still used the first pair of glasses I purchased at that time - a gorgeous plum Versace glasses - until a couple of weeks ago, even though this was now into pieces (and kept together using paper clips). I know, I should be ashamed of this.

Well, Firmoo came to the rescue as they offered me a pair of glasses to review. For those of you who never heard of this brand, Firmoo.com is the world's most popular online eyeglasses store, as they offer their customers a wide variety of glasses (be it prescription, non-prescription and sunglasses) in great quality and at the most affordable prices. I was spoilt for choice when it came to choosing a pair, but I finally settled for a pair of simple black glasses. I received my pair in a week's time, and I was so impressed with it's quality. What is more, together with my glasses, I also received two cases, a cloth to clean the glasses with, and a tool with screws so that I am able to repair the glasses myself should I need to. Everything is perfect and they were even a big hit with my family and friends!

There was once a time when people thought that glasses are only for people with vision problems. Fortunately, this idea has changed, and glasses - both prescription and non-prescription - are increasingly becoming a must-have accessory for celebs and fashionistas alike. One's look can be updated instantly by wearing different styles of frames. If you want to update your look, now is your chance. Firmoo has launched a First Pair Free Program to all people around the globe. I'm sure you will love the excellent quality, affordable prices, numerous designs, fast delivery and the customer service that this company offers. With the First Pair Free Program, you will basically get a pair of free glasses (prescription, non-prescription, or sunglasses), and only pay for shippingYou even can get a refund or exchange the glasses if you are not completely satisfied with them. Amazing right? What is even more great is the fact that Firmoo offer a Virtual try-on feature on their website. This means that you can try each and every pair of glasses on their website by using your own photos. This takes all the hassle away of not knowing whether the glasses you like will look great on you or not.

Do you wear prescription or non-prescription glasses? Will you be purchasing glasses from Firmoo using their First Pair Free Program? Do let me know your experience should you decide to take this opportunity.
