Mod Dolly's AW13 Collection

Hi everyone!

Mod Dolly - the brand for girls who like to be a little more playful and quirky in their everyday styling - have recently changed the whole aesthetic of the brand, which resulted in a brand new website, logo, and their best collection yet! Shot by the talented Hanna Kristina and modelled by the beautiful Sorcha Piotrowski, their AW 13 lookbook features a number of dresses and skirts in this season's must-have prints - including tartan, florals and velvet - which I'm sure you will love!

To accompany their lookbook, Mod Dolly have even released a lookbook film, also shot by Hanna Kristina.

The styles and fabrics seen in the lookbook will be released over the winter period. Shop the new AW 13 collection here.

Lavish Alice Wishlist

Hi everyone!

You know how the drill goes. I'm constantly browsing clothing websites, and I suddenly find myself creating a wishlist of all the things I want. Well, it happened again. But how can you resist the items I chose from Lavish Alice

Tartan is huuuge this AW season, so I had to include a tartan piece in my wishlist. I opted for the green/blue/purple shade instead of the standard red tartan colour. And I think it goes really well if teamed with the black geometric skirt. With regard to the tiger-printed dungaree, all I can say is that I loved it since I saw it on the gorgeous Leanne from LeanneLimWalker. But then again, everything looks good on Leanne! In my LA wishlist, I also included a floral headband (because I can never have enough floral crowns), a monochrome digital canvas bag, and a pair of black and gold buckled boots, which I chose for obvious reasons - Jeffrey Campbell inspired... *hint*.

Which of these pieces are your favourite? Are any items from Lavish Alice on your current wishlist?

Pretty Underwear

Hi everyone!

I recently came across these gorgeous lingerie sets by b.tempt'd, it's sister brand Wacoal, and by the French shapewear brand Scandale. The design of the sets by B.tempt'd is called 'La Pariesienne'. Fusing lace with polka-dot satin definitely give a look that purrs with femininity. The red/pink Wacoal lingerie set on the right is called 'Embrace Lace' while the blue one is the 'Retro Chic'.

The 'La Parisienne' sets retail at around £50.00 (€59.11) and are available at Selfridges and ASOSThe 'Embrace Lace' set is sold for around £49.83 (€58.95) from Nordstrom (bra and brief) while the 'Retro Chic' set is being sold for approximately £59.00 (€69.80) from Amazon (bra and brief). For a full range of b.tempt'd and Wacoal underwear, check out their respective websites here and here.

Two other lingerie collections that I fell head over heels in love with are the 'Encore Exclusive' and the 'Sirène' by Scandale. The limited edition 'Encore Exclusive' collection, which is comprised of six exquisite designs, revisits some of the most glamorous periods in lingerie history, therefore creating a collection that merges vintage elegance with contemporary chic.

On the contrary, the 'Sirène' collection allows women to discover their perfect ‘S’ curve silhouette – the ideal shape to define and enhance the bust, waist and hip proportions. Each style is therefore tailored to comfort and flatter the body for both effortless everyday wear and evening elegance. Red is their key winter colour, but this range is also available in black couture, champagne and white swan.

Check out the 'Encore Exclusive' and the 'Sirène' lingerie collections on the Scandale website

Store Spotlight • GlassesUSA

Hi everyone!

Being a prescription glasses wearer myself, I'm always on the lookout for new frames. And if not prescription ones, I also love buying sunglasses. Coming across a new website - GlassesUSA.com - I obviously had to share it with you!

GlassesUSA is the premier place to buy discount prescription eyeglasses and sunglasses. Our mission is to guarantee the highest quality optical products at the most affordable prices in the fastest time span possible - all across the world. We even provide you with a "110% lowest price guarantee"! If you find out products with lower prices elsewhere - we'll pay you 110% of the difference!

You would think that it would be a bit of a pain, or even a risk, if you purchase a pair of glasses online. But fear not! GlassesUSA have a Virtual Mirror feature on their website which is quite cool. This feature basically allows you to upload a photo of yourself (or you can even take a photo of yourself there and then using your webcam), and trying on as many glasses styles as you like. This allows you to pick out those styles which suit you the most, without having to worry that you could have bought a pair of glasses which are not flattering. How amazing is that? I had a go at the Virtual Mirror feature, and this is the result:
What I also liked about this feature is that you can even share your photos with your friends to get their feedback on which pair of glasses you should get! They have A LOT of styles from where to choose from, so another person's opinion will always be helpful. Why don't you try the Virtual Mirror feature yourself right now? Firstly start by choosing your gender from the below Try-It Mirror application and then follow the instructions. I can assure you it's a lot of fun!

You obviously need to know your eyeglasses prescription before ordering a pair online. However, if you do not have your prescription at hand, you can also send it to them by fax or else email them a scanned copy of it.

It is essential to mention the fact that all eyeglasses available at GlassesUSA come with 100% satisfaction guarantee. This means that if, for any reason, you are not satisfied with the prescription glasses you ordered, you can return them for an exchange of a new pair or else get a refund. Stay up-to-date on all GlassesUSA happenings through their Facebook page (facebook.com/glassesusa) and on their Twitter feed (@GlassesUSA).

GlassesUSA were very kind to offer you lovely readers 10% off any order of prescription glasses by using the code Blog10 at checkout.

OTTD • Check Mate!

Hi everyone!

Autumn has started, but the weather in Malta is still super hot! Can you believe that the temperature today was about 33°C? I love the sun, but I prefer cold weather, especially because I get to wear my blazers, boots and cosy scarves. Anyways, enough ranting. I got this oversized check shirt the other day from FrontRowShop and I loved it so much that I just had to wear it, even though the weather wasn't so appropriate. It feels very soft since it is made from cotton, so it will definitely be my go to piece in winter. I can already imagine me layering it with a plain tee, a pair of black jeans, my leather jacket and chunky heeled boots. I teamed the check shirt with a plain black top and my favourite pair of denim shorts, which I recently got from Hanmattan. To spice up the look, I also wore this pair of Gypsy Mock Suspender Tights. They are being sold for only £5.00 (€5.89/$7.99) from OMG Fashion, so they're a real bargain! I know they are not everyone's cup of tea, but I think they tie up the whole outfit perfectly. I finished off the outfit with my trusty old pair of ASOS chelsea boots which I got last winter, and accessorised with a simple silver moon necklace.

What do you think of this outfit? How would you style the oversized check shirt?

Mailbox #4

Hi everyone!

You all know how much I love jewellery! In fact, if I had to wear a different piece of jewellery each day, it would be a lifetime before I wear all the pieces I own. Well, not really, but you get my point. I always tell myself that I don't actually need anymore jewellery pieces because I have waaay too many, but somehow I always end up doing the opposite thing. So, say hello to my newest jewellery pieces from Persunmall!

Bunnies Ring Holder: Urban Outfitters// Three-Layers Golden Ring*: Persunmall // Moon Star Exquisite Ring*: Persunmall

Since I am currently wearing more silver than gold jewellery, my current favourite is definitely the moon and star ring, which is being sold for $9.99 (€7.36/£6.22) . It reminds me so much of the 90s and it is definitely very similar to a ring I used to wear back then. Retailing at $8.99 (€6.62/£5.60), the three-layers ring has the best of both worlds since it is made of both silver and gold. Having chubby fingers means that the latter ring fits me as a knuckle ring, but I'm perfectly fine with that. Unfortunately, it rained all day today so I couldn't take any photos wearing these pretty rings outside. But I think they suit the bunny's ears pretty good :)

Do you like these rings as much as I do?
