OOTD • Sammydress Androgyny

Hi everyone!

I have quite an obsession with menswear clothing, and I seriously wish I was a man just for the sake of being able to wear all of their clothes. I'm a girl though, so the closest I can get to wearing a man's outfit outside my home is by putting together an androgynous style outfit. And that's what I did in this OOTD.

I first teamed a classic white shirt, which even features a black bow detail and peter pan collars, with a pair of black trousers. Since it's still relatively cold, I layered my outfit with a black/grey/white masculine-style speckled coat, and finished off the look with a black fedora hat and a pair of patent burgundy brogues. These brogues, which are also available in black, feature a cute little bow on each shoe - perfect to add a feminine touch to this outfit. Their thick heel, which is less than 3cm in height, makes them the comfiest, and I'm seriously considering getting them in black as well.

Shirt: Vero Moda via Love Clothing // Trousers: Stradivarius // Coat: SheInside
Fedora Hat: Peacocks // Brogues*: Sammydress

What do you think of my outfit? Do you like wearing androgynous style outfits?

How I Style • Motel Tinkerbell Shirt Dress in Acid Wash Denim

Hi everyone!

You all know by now how much I love Motel Rocks. I think that their pieces are sometimes on the edgier side, which I love, and not something that you find in every other online clothing store. I also love Polyvore, and spend endless hours creating outfits in order to get inspiration of how I can wear clothing and shoe pieces. I have therefore created a small collage of how I would style the Motel Tinkerbell dress. I knew I had to get this dress once I saw it on the Motel website. So, I did. And I fell more in love with it once I tried it on.

Two of my favourite items in my wardrobe are my polka dot tights and a pair of blue, mustard and tan brogues which I got around two years ago from Office. I think that this buttoned-up denim dress goes really well with the whole combination of polka dots and brogues. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a photo of my brogues on the Internet, but this pair from Miista is oh-so-lovely.

For accessories, the much sought after gold Casio watch and a small tan leather bag are perfect for the look I had in mind. To finish off the look, I added a pair of cat eye tortoise shell sunglasses as no Spring outfit is complete without a pair of sunglasses.

What do you think of this outfit? How would you style the dress?

Just a small reminder that you can get a whopping 20% off your Motel Rocks orders by using the code annalisegrech at checkout.
Code cannot be used on sale items and it does not expire.

S/S '13 Must Haves

Hi everyone!

Malta's weather is currently hot and sunny. No, I'm not complaining! I already started to incorporate some summer pieces to my outfits, so I decided to share with you all my Spring/Summer must have items.

Brogues
As the temperature starts to increase, boots are usually put to the side and replaced with sandals. Brogues are, however, another great alternative for this time of year since they can be worn without socks too. And the more coloured/eye catching the style of the brogues, the better! As you may know from my latest Designer vs Deal post, I'm currently eyeing this iridescent pair from Miista.

Floral headbands/crowns
What better way is there to accessorise an outfit than by wearing a vintage headband or floral crown? Especially in the Spring season, these pieces would look great when worn with a simple tee and a pair of boyfriend jeans for example. And how well does the pastel coloured floral crown go with the Miista brogues? Love.

Denim Shorts
Denim shorts are a perfect go to piece of clothing especially in the Summer months. Simply wear with a tee tucked in it and you're ready to go. There are loads of coloured denim shorts out there too, so don't be too scared to try on something new. After all, Summer is all about fun, right?

Oversized tees
I personally don't like clothes that are too fitted in Summer, so these oversized tees from River Island are perfect. They would look super great if worn with a chunky chain necklace, and the best thing about them is that they are bang on the rolled-up sleeve trend.

Sunglasses
Another Spring/Summer must have, and one of the most essential I must add, is a pair of sunglasses. The sun's rays are extreme sometimes, and even if they aren't, sunglasses can finish off an outfit quite nicely. I'm currently loving this pair from Romwe, and it goes perfectly well with any outfit due to it's neutral colour.

Frilly socks
Filly socks. I love them. I definitely think that they add a somewhat girly touch to an outfit, and would look great worn with brogues too! These gingham trim ankle socks from Topshop are the cutest.

Which are your S/S must haves? I just realised that all the items that I mentioned in this post can be worn together! That wasn't my intention, but I'm glad it turned out that way :)
