Inspiration Friday #3

When taking a close look at my Tumblr and Pinterest accounts, I seem to have been inspired by all black/grey everything this month...AGAIN! From leather jackets and hats to ankle boots and bags, I can't get enough of black! At least, I have managed to add a "colourful" Motel dress to my wardrobe - check out my Facebook post for more details and a cheeky discount.

What has inspired you - fashion-wise - this past month?

Slogan Tees

Hi everyone!

Slogan tops were a prominent trend on the SS14 catwalks last year - think Alexander Wang's 'Parental Advisory' tops, a light summer sweater with the slogan 'Lead Sister' at SISTER by Sibling, Undercover's glow in the dark slogans, Kenzo's 'No fish, no nothing', and many more. So what better way is there to embrace this trend than finding similar pieces from high street brands at a super affordable price?

Luckily, LOVE currently stock a huge variety of slogan tees that will certainly help you express yourself through them. Check out my favourite ones below.

LOVE are also offering you an exclusive 25% off these slogan tees by using the code STYLEOFF at checkout. This code can be used on a minimum purchase of £30, and expires on 2nd March 2014 at midnight.

Isabel Marant x Oliver Peoples

Hi everyone!

Just in time for Spring, Parisian designer Isabel Marant has collaborated with eyewear manufacturer Oliver Peoples for a sunglasses collection, available on Pretavoir for £216.00 a pair. As a long-time fan of Oliver Peoples, Isabel Marant values the high quality and craftsmanship of this eyewear brand. The designer worked with precision together with Larry Leight to create easy-to-wear sunglasses that convey her's and Oliver Peoples’ effortlessly chic approach to style and design.

Isabel Marant and Oliver Peoples came up with two designs which are handcrafted from fine metal: Matt, an iconic teardrop pilot, and Daria, an oversized feminine frame. Available in five custom colours, these sunglasses are light weight and have a classic design, and therefore flatter and suit most faces. Both styles convey a modern take on the 1970s, an era of inspiration eminent in Isabel Marant’s collections.

I wanted timeless sunglasses that you can wear every day, even when it rains. To me accessories make your look. I designed these glasses like my accessories, a colour per season. I chose a shape that is chic with a vintage feel at the same time. This is what Oliver Peoples is so well known for and why I appreciate the brand so much.” - Isabel Marant

Guest Post • Valentine's Day Outfit

Valentine's Day is just around the corner, so what better way to plan for it than to think about what you might be wearing? I know not everyone will have a date for Valentine's Day, but that doesn't mean that you can't enjoy the evening! Why not get together with the girls and have a fun night in watching movies and eating comfort food or get dressed up for a night out instead! You definitely don't have to spend it alone!

Being a fashion blogger myself, I put together this outfit which I think is perfect for both a date night with your partner or a night out with the ladies! It's both fun, bold and it definitely makes a statement! I chose this gorgeous Topshop heart print shirt in red as I think it's really playful for Valentines! I wanted the outfit to stand out, so I paired the shirt with a gold tube skirt, but it has a black waist band to break up the red against the gold. I then opted for some Christian Louboutin red heels and accessorised with gold. I chose a pale gold glitter clutch, a gold watch, ring and necklace (with the word Love on it) and then finished it off with some black and gold drop earrings. It's definitely quite a bold outfit, but I would definitely wear it! What would you wear for Valentine's Day?

Shirt: Topshop // Skirt: Fashion Union //  Heels: Christian Louboutin // Clutch: Dorothy Perkins
Necklace: Solange Azagury-Partridge // Ring: Diviene // Earrings: Syna // Watch: Michael Kors

Introducing • Grabble

Hi everyone!

As if I don't already have enough bookmarked websites on my browser's bookmarks bar, I have just added another one this morning. I'm not complaining though. Speaking of my bookmarks bar, I have a 'To Buy' folder where I put links to my most loved items on the internet in order to be easier for me to find them when I'm in the mood for, or can afford to do, some online shopping. However, with the help of the recently launched Grabble, I can now store all of my favourite fashion pieces, wishlists, payday treats, and more, in one place by simply clicking a button. Unlike my folder on the bookmarks bar, I now also have the added benefit of receiving an alert when one of the items in my collections goes on sale. How cool is that?

The first collection I created on my Grabble account was a Valentine's Day outfit I would wear if my boyfriend took me on a romantic dinner date overlooking the Eiffel Tower. A girl can dream, right? :) For such a special occasion, I would wear a black circle skirt teamed with a black and white striped top, and layered with a black leather jacket. For accessories, I would certainly wear a statement necklace, diamond earrings, a pair of leather gloves, and a clear clutch bag. To give the outfit a pop of colour, I would wear a pair of red heels and finish off the look with red lipstick. All the items I chose are from ASOS, and you can be redirected to each piece by clicking on the image above.

What would be your perfect Valentine's Day outfit?

How I Style • Matching Separates

Hi everyone!

For this week's post, I decided to style a white two-piece. From Alexander Wang and Tory Burch to Tess Giberson and Oscar de la Renta, white was all over the SS14 catwalks. Fortunately enough, cutting edge brand UNCUT have created a catwalk copy of Oscar de la Renta's two-piece embroidered dress but for a fraction of the price. For just £50.00, you can get this laser-cut pleather top and shorts by UNCUT exclusively at USC.co.uk as from the end of February. But until this two-piece is available for purchase, take a look at how I would style it in three different ways.

Ideal for a night out, I accessorised the matching two-piece with a silver collar necklace and these gorgeous ZARA lace-up boots which are now on my 'To Buy' list. To hold my phone, money, and some make-up bits and bobs, I chose a black leather bag which can be used as a shoulder bag, cross-body bag, or as a clutch. And if the weather is somewhat cold, a black leather jacket goes perfectly well with the rest of the outfit. I would probably opt for this faux leather one from Pull & Bear, which is being sold for around €50 (£39.99/$65.41).

I styled the second outfit to be more appropriate for a casual night out or even as a day time look. This time, I paired the white two-piece with just a pair of black open-toe boots and a clear clutch bag. Since the top has quite a low v-neck, I would also add a statement necklace to this outfit.

The third outfit is the most casual of them all since I teamed the top and shorts with a pair of classic converse in black leather. Perfect for when you're on holiday in the summer months, I accessorised with the coolest chunky silver hoop chained necklace, a matt silver ring, and a black bucket bag to hold the camera and any other holiday essentials. And what is summer without a pair of sunglasses?

Which is your favourite outfit? And how would you style this matching two-piece?
