Designer vs Deal #7

Hi everyone!

I get so excited whenever I come across a designer dupe while wasting my very previous time on the Internet. I immediately save the item until I compile enough of these for my next Designer vs Deal post so I can share these amazing finds with you lovely lot. Once again, the dupes I found this month are super similar to the designer pieces. And I must admit, I wouldn't mind owning everything I found (designer or not)!

How similar are the Ciccio Francis sunglasses and the ones by Romwe? The only drastic difference between the two is their price tag, since the Ciccio Francis pair costing about seven times as much as the Romwe pair. Amazing! Whether you prefer the designer one or it's dupe, these sunglasses are a must-have statement piece for the summer season.

My most exciting find has to be these Gold Leaf sandals from Choies, which are the exact dupe of Giuseppe Zanotti's Firewings sandals (The white version of these sandals - Kanye West for Giuseppe Zanotti - have also been spotted on Kim Kardashian). Even though the Choies dupe may still be somewhat expensive for some, I was amazed at how similar they were to Zanotti's sandals. In this case, I would definitely opt for the dupe rather than the designer piece!

Retailing at a mere £10.00, how affordable is Fashion Union's white lace up shoes when compared to the white Dr Martens? With regards to the NastyGal shades, I think that they are ridiculously overpriced, even though they are beautifully made. Personally, I would never pay that much money on a pair of sunglasses. For those of you who love this pair but think that the NastyGal pair is too expensive for their budget, I thankfully found an amazing dupe from Ebay, and it only costs £8.52/$12.99/€9.93.

Which would you rather buy, the designer piece or it's affordable dupe? If there is a designer piece that you love so much but cannot afford it and want a dupe of it, get in touch with me through Facebook or Twitter, or else send me an email, and I'll include the affordable dupe in my next Designer vs Deal post!

Save Money While Shopping!

Hi everyone!

I always try to save money while shopping, be it by using discount codes, waiting for the sales, or opting for a dupe when the designer piece is way out of my budget! After wasting the majority of my day doing something else rather than working on my never ending to-do list, I always turn to the FashionPerks website before shopping so as to not waste even more time browsing the Internet for discount codes.

FashionPerks.co.uk was set up by a group of fashion lovers who believed that shopping for clothes, accessories and footwear online shouldn’t be expensive and should reward loyal shoppers. That’s when we came up with the idea for a site that rewarded users with discount codes to use when shopping at their favourite stores online.

The concept is amazing, right? The website contains 6 shopping categories, namely shoes, men's, women's, jewellery, accessories and beauty, so you can definitely save money on anything related to fashion. Some of my favourite retailers found on this website include ASOS, Urban Outfitters, Missguided, Miss Selfridge, Boux Avenue, River Island, and much much more. The list is endless, really! Thanks to FashionPerks, I am also able to discover new brands which I have never come across before. So everything is a plus about this website!

Make sure you check out the FashionPerks website here, and also follow them on Twitter and Facebook to keep up with all their latest discount codes and offers. It always feels super good when you save money! :)

Motel Rocks Wishlist

Hi everyone!

Since we started a new month, it's time for another wishlist. Motel Rocks have some pretty amazing new arrivals, so this month's wishlist is entirely dedicated to just a small percentage of the pieces I want from this brand. They even have a section where you can only find dresses under £30.00. How great is that? Anyways, after spending quite a lot of time compiling my Motel wishlist, I finally managed to narrow it down to just 6 pieces for the purpose of this post. The items I really, really, really want are the following:

I know these wishlist pieces may be too monochrome/boring/plain for some, but that's what I like to wear the most. Well all I can say is that I cannot wait till I open my wardrobe and see these items there..waiting for me to style them!

And if you love these pieces, or any other Motel branded items, as much as I do, you can get them with 20% off by simply using the code annalisegrech at checkout. And don't forget to share this code with your friends, and family, and everyone else. They'll surely love you forever :)

PS: This code can be used on Motel branded pieces only and cannot be used on sale items. You can use the code over and over again though as it doesn't expire!

Looking for something more SUBTLE?
If your answer is yes, then you can opt for a simple (but fashionable) rectangular frame. Rectangle glasses with small-sized frames which have serious and scripted designs add sharp angles to the soft curves of your face, thus making you look even more mature and attractive.

OOTD • Black with hints of Lilac

Hi everyone!

I have no words to describe my feelings towards this mesh dress from Choies except that I love it and it is possibly my current favourite piece of clothing in my wardrobe. I have teamed this cut-out detail dress with a pair of polka dot tights, over the knee socks and my all-time favourite shoes - the Jeffrey Campbell Everest.  To accessorise the outfit, I added a thin tan belt to define my waist and finished off the look with a gorgeous lilac floral crown.

PS: Excuse my messy hair but it did not cooperate...at all!

Dress*: Choies // Jeffrey Campbell Everest: Office // Floral Crown*: Pixie Lott x Rock 'N Rose
Belt: Stradivarius (old) // Tights: Primark (old) // Over the knee socks: Primark

How to dress up denim

Hi everyone!

Denim pieces are a wardrobe staple in my opinion and they can be worn from day to night. However, most of us have a mistaken idea that denim pieces can only be dressed down. I have therefore decided to give you some outfit inspiration - whether going on a girls night out, an evening out with friends, or on a date night - to show you that denim is not just about dressing down! If you feel that you're not 'dressy' enough by wearing blue denim, you can always opt for black or charcoal denim instead. As for the shoes, I feel that a pair of heels instantly transform a denim outfit (or any outfit, really) into a more dressy one. And don't forget your jewellery and accessories, as they are also a key factor when it comes to dressing up an outfit.
Outfit 1: Crop top // Dungarees // Boots
Outfit 2: Crop top // Pencil skirt // Court Shoes
Outfit 3: Varsity tee // Shorts // Sandals

What do you think of these outfit ideas? Would you wear any of them for a night out?

Lazy Oaf x Nasty Gal Collection

Hi everyone!

UK based Lazy Oaf have teamed up with famous US online store Nasty Gal to create a summer collection for women. The new collection was launched on May 28th, and features crop tops, dresses, tees, leggings, dresses, bralets, skirts, bodysuits, and shorts inspired by candy, stickers and all things witty and weird. The collection's lookbook was shot by photographer Viktor Vauthier, and showcases the gorgeous New Zealand fashion model Jessica Clarke. Some images from this lookbook can be seen below:

Shot by Sam Hiscox, Lazy Oaf and Nasty Gal have also released an accompanying video which truly portrays the fun theme of this collection! Check it out here:

What do you think of this lookbook? Which piece/s is your favourite from this collection? Mine is definitely the denim jacket shown on the video, but I couldn't find it on neither Nasty Gal's nor Lazy Oaf's website. I also love the sticker print cropped tee and the watermelon shorts. How cute and perfect are they for summer?

Pieces from this collection can be purchase either from Nasty Gal or from Lazy Oaf.
