Blogger's Wardrobe

Today, while browsing the Internet, I came across this website - Blogger's Wardrobe - and was immediately anxious to read more and more about this community and interested to be part of it. Blogger's Wardrobe, as can be read in their Manifesto, is  not just any web site, but is a place where bloggers and brands meet in a way that guarantees the integrity of both. This is because bloggers are a source of media channels and reliable intermediaries of information to brands, while these brands provide bloggers with quality content, invitations to fashion shows, and also exclusive parties. Those bloggers who are fortunate enough to be invited to join the Blogger's Wardrobe are able to shop online from this community for free, and then share the item/s with their blog readers.

After a thorough browse at the websites of the brands available on Blogger's Wardrobe, I found 3 favourite brands. These are Vintage by FéFINSK, and Triwa. Being a huge lover of all things shoes and accessories related, these brands screamed instant love when I discovered them, mainly since most of their products are quite uniquely designed, and also edgy (with regards to Finsk shoes).  These are a few pieces I really love from each brand:

Vintage by Fé

FINSK

Triwa

These are perfect, right? Make sure you check out the Blogger's Wardrobe yourself for even more brands, and maybe who knows, you can be lucky enough to join the Blogger's Wardrobe revolution. I know I want to be part of it.

LIEBSTER BLOG AWARD

Hi everyone!

The Liebster Blog Award is given to bloggers by bloggers. It is a way to acknowledge each other and say “you’re doing a great job”. It is for blogs with 200 or less followers, so it’s also a great way to spread the word about smaller blogs and get them more readers and followers!

When you receive the award, you post 11 random facts about yourself and answer 11 questions from the person(s) who nominated you. You pass the Award onto 11 other blogs (make sure you tell them you nominated them!) and ask them 11 questions. You’re not allowed to nominate the blog(s) who nominated you! (To get the button, right click the picture on my page and save the picture to your computer. You can then upload to your blog).

I was nominated for the Liebster Blog Award by the lovely Maria from Route 13
I was so excited when she told me as this is my first ever blog award!

Darkly Decedent • Previews of Regal Rose's New Collection

Hi everyone!

I was invited by Regal Rose to show you lovely readers some exclusive preview and lookbook images from their new collection. I'm sure most of you have heard of them, but for those of you who have not, here is a small introduction about this label.

Regal Rose, which is a UK based jewellery label, was created in 2008 by twin sisters Rebecca and Louisa Warwich, specifically because they could not find what they wanted on the high street or online. Their line, which is inspired by the current catwalk trends and by London's street style, includes a wide range of original and seasonal pieces. Regal Rose won best stand at the Clothes Show Live 2011 and are regularly featured in magazines, including Instyle and Cosmopolitan, among others.

Their New Collection, which is called 'Darkly Decedent', will be revealed on Thursday 18th October (tomorrow, yay!) and is described as 'Gothic goes Glamorous'. This Collection, together with the Lookbook images, were entrenched with an eclectic range of influences...from Baroque, Gothic, 90s Grunge and 80s Rock, topped with an immortal Edward Scissorhands vulnerability. Just perfect

These are some of the items from the New Collection:

Such an amazing collection right? What I mostly love from the above preview images are the black Silhouette rings, the 3 gold knuckle rings, the gold Baroque collar tips, and the silver collar chain. I would love it if I can manage to add all these beauties to my jewellery collection!

Some other items from the New Collection can be seen in these Lookbook images, which project dramatic and dark romance inspired glamour. These images are flawless. I love everything about them...pale skin, ox blood lipstick, statement jewellery, peplum belt...everything!

This New Collection is perfect for that customer who wants something extra special to pair with the LBD (Little Black Dress), especially for the coming party season. I know this is an image heavy post, but I couldn't not share with you all these amazing pieces. So, don't forget to check out Regal Rose's New Collection out tomorrow and treat yourself to some unique and on trend jewellery! I will surely be treating myself :)

Regal Rose ship worldwide, and they are currently offering FREE UK delivery on all orders over £35 by using the code 'FREEPOST'.

British Vogue Covers

Hi everyone!

I was browsing the British Vogue's website today, and came across the magazine covers section. There were quite a few covers which stood out from the rest, in my opinion, and  I therefore decided to show you my favourite Vogue UK covers. What is interesting is the fact that through these covers, you can see clothing, accessories, make up, and even hair trends evolve over the years, since the British Vogue was first published in the Autumn of 1916. I love everything about these covers, and being an aspiring photographer, maybe I appreciate them even more. Take a look at them, and see for yourselves...

November 1933 / November 1949

February 1962 / March 1962

 May 1963 / April 1991

 November 1992 / February 1995

 June 1998 / January 2003

 May 2008 / September 2009

 October 2011 / March 2012

June 2012

These women are pretty gorgeous right? Which is your favourite cover? Mine has to be the September 2009 issue cover, as I think Kate Moss looks exquisite (as she always does), and I love what she is wearing in terms of clothing and jewellery, and also the way her hair is styled.

Looking forward to even more flawless British Vogue covers in the coming years.

Gorgeous Maddy

Hi everyone!

The other day I bought this gorgeous Maddy bag from Accessorize. It was love at first sight, and I'm still deeply in love with it. This bag is made from PU leather in two colour blocks - black and tan - making it suitable to wear with most outfits. It is of a reasonable size and has a long strap, so it is perfect for a day out shopping or even a night out. What I mostly fell in love with, apart from its shape, colours, and vintage look, is the gold reindeer detail it has stuck to its front pocket, as it screams winter to me. And I love winter! I haven't actually worn this bag yet since the weather in Malta is still very hot, and we're still running around wearing summer clothes. I already know, though, that this will be one of those items that is going to get a lot of wear from me during the winter months. Can't wait.

I suggest you visit the Accessorize website or your local Accessorize shop since they have loads other gorgeous bags to complete your autumn/winter outfit.

Street Style • Peplum

Hi everyone!

With the peplum trend so in this last Spring, I couldn't not dedicate a street style post on how the world fashionistas styled it. Designers Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs said that ''peplums cinch in the waist and highlight curves'', and therefore a 'lady' figure is created. Instant love. With the different peplum style items available (namely tops, skirts, and dresses), one's outfit can surely be adapted to any occasion, either dressed down, or up.

Which is your favourite outfit from these Street Style photos? I love them all, however, my favourite has to be the outfit with the red polka dot skirt. I am so into polka dots right now, and I also like how classy she looks.

Any tips on how one should style peplums?

October Wishlist

New month, and a new wishlist. These are the items that I would like to add to my wardrobe during the month of October. I'm now realising that each month, the number of items in my wishlist are increasing rapidly. I can only imagine how many items will be in my November (birthday month) and December wishlists! But how can I resist such pretty items?

Eye Candy

Hi everyone!

I came across one of the below images in a local magazine, and I've been hooked since then! Studs, black and gold, leather, denim, blazers, handsome and shirtless men...I love each and every aspect of this advertising campaign. I mean, what's there not to love?

For those of you wondering to which label this collection belongs to, Mangano is the answer. And for those who never heard of this brand before, Mangano is an Italian brand which began in 1986 by the Mangano siblings. I am usually not too keen on Italian fashion, but I have to say, this collection is to die for. In my opinion, that is. Fortunately, there is a Mangano shop in Malta, and unlike before, when I never bothered to check it out, I will surely do so now. Apart from their only shope in Malta, Mangano stores seem to be widespread in Italy (obviously), but also in China. On their website, they however have an online shop, but I'm not sure where they deliver to. Skimming through their items on their online shop, there are quite some more items that I like. Their prices are quite expensive though, but hey, everyone deserves an expensive treat once in a while!

What do you think of this collection? PLEASE GIVE ME ALL THE CLOTHES, AND THE MEN!
